The Sunrisers got immediate success as the Royals' opening batsman D Arcy Short was caught short of his crease with Williamson's rocket throw from the mid-off rattled the wickets in the final ball of Bhuvneshwar Kumar's opening over. Aussie bowler Ben Laughlin was at the receiving end too as he was smashed for 20 runs in two overs. Both the teams have suffered when Cricket Australia banned David Warner and Steve Smith for one year. They also won a title of IPL earlier and in the ongoing season of IPL which is also known as IPL 11, Sunrisers Hyderabad started the tournament with a victory. RR on the other side will yearn to celebrate their return to the IPL with the win. Rajasthan lost the toss and was put to bat first. "Match awareness comes with time but I am trying to get them to believe they can go out there and take on anyone", he said.
Rahane, the skipper of the side and D'arcy Short could only score 13 and four respectively before going back to the pavilion.
The only bright spot in the Rajasthan innings was 23-year-old Kerala-born Sanju Samson. Samson himself followed suit three balls later, giving Shakib his second wicket of the night and at that stage the Royals innings was in tatters. It was the 4th match of the tournament which was executed at the home venue of SRH named Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad. Both these sides lost their opening match but Rajasthan look the stronger and better balanced of the two and shouldn't be outsiders on their own patch, according to Jamie Pacheco.
Just when things seemed good in the middle, Rahane was dismissed in the 7th over by Sidharth Kaul. Dhawan remained unbeaten on 77 from 57 deliveries while Williamson was not out on 36 from 35 balls.
And then the onslaught began. The batsmen were unable to pick his googlies and found it hard to score runs off him.More news: South African pair upset drawcard Blake
In the fourth game of the IPL, Sunrisers Hyderabad demolished Rajasthan Royals as they chased down an under-par 126 with 9 wickets in hand and 25 balls to spare.
In the post-match press conference, Rajasthan captain Ajinkya was asked about the game: "On this wicket, we thought about 160 would have been the ideal total because the ball was doing a bit and the medium pacers had good help from this wicket, but we didn't get that one (big) partnership".More news: Guardiola sent to stands for arguing with ref
