No fewer than 30 persons have been killed in attacks on two villages in Plateau State.
A fresh attack in Plateau state by suspected herdsmen, resulted in the death of at least 25 persons, including 19 men, 3 women and 3 children.

He said Adie Undie, Plateau commissioner of police, had ordered Taiwo Jebiyisu, deputy commissioner of police (operations), to visit the scene for an on-the-spot assessment.
Terna Tyopev, police public relations officer (PPRO), who confirmed the incident, said the attack left scores severely injured and many properties destroyed.

Many houses were reportedly set ablaze in the latest round of attacks in the state which President Muhammadu Buhari visited last week. Yakubu Dati yesterday commiserated with the people of Bassa and Bokkos LGAs over the killings in the areas, saying orders had been issued to security agents to immediately arrest and prosecute the perpetrators of the killings as the state would not condone any further killing again.
And shortly after the 29 victims were laid to rest, some residents of the Irigwe communities expressed their dissatisfaction with the recent comment made by some plateau stakeholders during President Buhari's State visit to Plateau state.
