England women's cricketer Dannielle Wyatt will have a secret weapon in her armoury when she faces India and Australia in the upcoming T20I tri-series later this month. Her tweet read thus - "Kohli, marry me!" Now Wyatt has revealed what Kohli replied to her after she proposed to him.
As it turns out, Kohli had advised Wyatt against posting such stuff on Twitter as he believed the social media platform users were taking "things seriously".
For those unaware, Kohli got a marriage proposal from Wyatt following his 72-run knock against South Africa during the 2014 World T20.More news: Compromise in works for Netanyahu coalition
Commenting on the same, one of her fans said that he hopes to see Wyatt cheering for Kohli alongside Anushka in the RCB games.
Notably, the two cricketers had met during MS Dhoni-led India's tour of England in 2014.
And with the bat used by Wyatt to slam the first-ever century by an England batsman in women's T20Is now broken, the 26-year-old is ready to unleash the "beast".More news: Vikings QB Keenum to sign with Broncos
"When we met, he (father) said: 'You can't do things like that on Twitter!"
Wyatt had also congratulated Kohli when the latter tied the knot with Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma in December 2017.
Wyatt has played 53 ODIs and 73 T20Is for England and was recently in news for her breathtaking 56-ball century in Twenty20 worldwide that fired England to a 2-1 win over Australia in a three-match series. A lot is expected of her, given her recent performances in the shortest format of the game.More news: Katy Perry Accidentally Flashed Her 'American Idol' Co-Stars
Kohli last played in a second T20I against South Africa last month and is now on a well-deserved break from global cricket.
