It seems that forward Anthony Martial is now stalling talks of a new contract, with interest for his services from Tottenham and Inter Milan doing rounds, who will look to sign the France global in the upcoming transfer windows.
The Frenchman's current deal expires in the summer of 2019, though due to a clause in the contract allowing Man United to trigger a one-year extension (until 2020), there is no significant rush or panic to tie up Martial.More news: Trump says arming teachers in schools is up to the states
The biggest factor in this is the arrival of Alexis Sanchez, which has led the ladder of offensive players at Old Trafford into a bit of a shamble. Defying critics, the Frenchman has certainly found his style as an attacking winger, and has notched 11 goals so far this season.
Martial joined United in a deal worth £36m in 2015.
Martial has fallen out of favour in recent times with Mourinho replacing him with Alexis Sanchez, who signed from Arsenal last month.More news: More than 100 girls missing after raid on Nigerian school, father says
Mourinho also can call on Marcus Rashford to play on the left, the preferred position of Martial, and the United boss may be prepared to cash in on the Massy-born star.
Martial was believed to be searching for a new house in Manchester but after all these issues, he has chose to interrupt the process. Both strikers have failed to perform for the Lilywhites and Tottenham would be a good destination for Martial to consider if he wishes to play football without winning trophies. Tottenham definitely need a new centre-forward in the summer. Conversely for the player, it will be interesting to see if he is able to rediscover his best form to remain with Manchester United.More news: Turkey presses Czech authorities to extradite detained Kurdish leader
