The activity tracking can be turned off relatively easily in "settings". This feature rolled out for Android users first, but it's now available on iOS as well. According to TheNextWeb, the new feature would allow users to select from different backgrounds, fonts, and even apply filters. Those users are shown "active now", "active today", "active 5 minutes ago", the same sort of cues you'd expect from an instant messaging app. The app will add some more feature in the next updates as the giant is already testing out plenty of new features.
