Detective Pikachu follows a kid named Tim Goodman as he tries to investigate his father's disappearance. It's a shame Pikachu took this long to start drinking coffee, because he and I could've been buddies a long time ago rather than just being a cute, cuddly icon for one of gaming's biggest franchises. The film's script will be written by Guardians of the Galaxy co-writer Nicole Perlman and it will be co-written by Gravity Falls creator Alex Hirsch.
There's also a magnum sized Detective Pikachu amiibo coming as well, it's twice the size of a normal Pikachu amiibo at 13.6cm tall. The amiibo allows players to view all of the "Pika Prompts" cutscenes from chapters they've completed. Detective Pikachu also has the ability to speak to other Pokémon, which will occasionally provide some valuable information.
The new model is much more up close and personal as opposed to the other Pikachu 3DS models that have been released since the 3DS first came out back in 2011.More news: Spanish and Dutch Agree to Seek Soft Brexit Deal
