Ed Sheeran scores the rare Official Chart double this week, as flawless notches up a second week at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart, while its parent album ÷ reclaims the top spot.
As the Official Charts Company confirms, Sheeran is now in the lead in the festive battle with his Beyoncé collaboration "Perfect".

The Castle on the Hill singer from Framlingham has teamed up with the American superstar for a remix of his latest track, Perfect. Official Charts Company early sales reports (based on pre-orders and early sales data up to midnight last night), indicate that Ed Sheeran opens the week as front-runner in the biggest chart race of the year.
Eminem is also in contention for the Number One album this week.

The song, penned by the late George Michael who died on Christmas Day previous year, is the biggest-selling single to have never reached number one.

The UK songwriter's ÷ (Divide) has reclaimed top spot on the ARIA Albums chart, pushing P!nk's Beautiful Trauma down to #2 and also beating Michael Buble's Christmas at #3, John Farnham & Olivia Newton-John's Friends For Christmas at #4 and Taylor Swift's Reputation at #5.
