Building the Urus, which will be sold in Europe for 171,500 euros ($203,000) excluding taxes, was "challenging at every level", said Lamborghini CEO Stefano Domenicali.
Even though it weighs just shy of 2,200kg, the Urus has the best power-to-weight ratio in the dynamic SUV segment, which means a 0-60mph time of 3.4 seconds and a scarcely believable top speed of 190mph.
In September past year, Lamborghini has set the bar rather high by promising that the Urus will become the SUV the fastest in history to cross the famous circuit of Nürburgring.
And all the while your stellar forward motion will be accompanied by the crackle from the thumping 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 delivering 650hp along the way and a horizon-reducing 850Nm of torque. Wow! It is the culmination of intensive development and passionate skill to create a new breed of bull: "a Super SUV that transcends the boundaries of expectations and opens the door to new possibilities, for both our brand and our customers".More news: ALTERED CARBON Trailer: Netflix's Cyberpunk Show Is Also Its Most Expensive Yet
It's not just on-road performance.
The vast majority of that grunt is sent to the rear wheels in a 40/60 split, and Lamborghini says that adaptive air suspension, rear wheel steering and active roll stabilization ensure that the Urus performs like a supercar on the track.

A customisable fully-digital TFT display shows the Urus' main information in an animated 3D representation. The first option features standard 12-way adjustable heated sports seats while the second one offers 18-way adjustable massage seats that are also heated and ventilated.
The Lamborghini Urus was finally unveiled at the luxury carmaker's Sant'Agata factory in Italy, five years after the concept Urus was revealed in 2012 and two years after the luxury SUV was officially announced for a 2018 release.
With a length of 5.11 meters, the Lamborghini Urus surpasses the SUV coupe from Garching by about 21 centimeters.
